    Personal
I am a dog lover.  I grew up having several Beagles (counting the handsome Beagle we have now), and I plan on allowing my (future) children to grow up with the furry friends too!  Even as a "young buck" I enjoyed taking my parents' friends' dogs for walks and always (probably to my parents' dislike) volunteered to watch their dogs when they were away on vacation or out of town.  I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs, and I am excited to be in the business of making their lives fun and happy!

    Professional
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in accounting, I moved to the DC metro area to pursue my career as an accountant.  I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and have had jobs in the government, public accounting, real estate
and, currently, with an energy company.   While these have all been great, fulfilling jobs, a part of me has always wanted to own my own business.

I am confident that my experiences will assist in the success of our business as well as ensure a rewarding one for our clients (and of course thier dogs!)

    Background
I have always been an animal lover.  Although I'm not biased to dogs- in my lifetime, I've had a pet parrot, a cat, many, many dogs (all sizes, shapes and breeds), a chipmunk, a couple of bunny rabbits, injured birds, a one-legged goose, a broken-winged seagull, lots of tropical fish (even a shark!), and turtles- I agree that a dog is a man's (and a woman's) best friend!

    Experience
When I was in grade school, I partnered with a friend and founded "Teeny Tiny Cleaners" where we provided indoor and outdoor cleaning services to our neighborhood and the
surrounding areas.  This helped us to earn enough money during the holidays to buy presents for our friends and family- and maybe one or two for ourselves!  When we reached junior high, we still wanted to "earn a living" but no longer considered ourselves teeny or tiny, so we changed our name to "Chores to Doors" and continued our neighborhood cleaning services.

After graduating from Penn State University and doing a semester abroad in Ireland, I started working as a public relations assistant with a trade association in Washington, D.C.  With an internship at Coca-Cola Enterprises, a degree in public relations, and PR experience at various other jobs I felt ready and able to branch off with my own business and represent myself.  I want to relate to the public in my own way, and help fellow pet owners out of their sticky situations!
